Our mission
The global circular economy needs new solutions to manage its CO2. We will accelerate CO2 removal via the safest and longest-lived carbon storage technique: mineralisation.
We provide a sustainable one-step solution, using building waste, natural basalt and other materials - both to capture CO2 directly from gas streams and to produce a concrete addition that lowers the CO2 footprint of concrete.
We are developing geocatalysts to accelerate the reaction between CO2 and solids – the geocatalysts will lead to lower costs, lower energy demands, and more valuable end products.
Current Funding
The work is funded by the
- European Research Council (ERC)
- Innovation Fund Denmark
- Danish Research Council
- DTU Earthbound
Spin-out Company: CO2FIX
CO2FIX, a spin-out from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), is planned to be incorporated in 2025.
